General Information

State grants and scholarships are offered by individual state higher education agencies.

They often have academic requirements to maintain eligibility (such as maintaining a minimum overall grade point average, a required amount of earned hours for the semester or academic year, and/or maintaining satisfactory academic progress for financial aid eligibility).

Please note some students may be eligible for reduced tuition due to factors such as their level, state of residency, and/or program of study. Visit the WVU Undergraduate Admissions Cost and Aid website and scroll to the bottom to the "Reduced Tuition" section for more information. Qualifying for reduced tuition (i.e. resident-equivalent tuition) can impact institutional scholarship eligibility for students.
