| Doctor of Dental Surgery | 2.00 |
| Doctor of Jurisprudence | 2.50 |
| Doctor of Pharmacy | 2.50 |

GPA is calculated at the end of each semester as of the date that grades are due. Grades changed later by the instructor due to an appeal or an error may change the GPA. This change will be considered for Satisfactory Academic Progress at the next monitoring point. However, a student may notify the WVU Hub earlier if such a change brings them in to good standing.
Hours within the overall GPA are measured in adherence to the University’s Grading Policies and Academic Forgiveness Policy. If a student is granted academic forgiveness, they will be required to appeal if they do not meet satisfactory academic progress standards.

Students must successfully complete at least 67% of all the hours they have attempted. To calculate this percentage, students can take their "Earned Hours" and divide them by their "Attempted Hours."
For example, courses with grades of "I," "F," "IF," and "NR," and courses with grades of "W" due to withdraw are hours that a student would have attempted but not earned hours.
Attempted and earned hours are measured in adherence to the University’s Grading Policies and Academic Forgiveness Policy. If a student is granted academic forgiveness, they will be required to appeal if they do not meet satisfactory academic progress standards.
Students must complete their degree within 150% of the published time frame for degree completion for their program of study within the University Course Catalog. For example, in undergraduate programs requiring 120 hours, students must obtain their degrees within 180 attempted hours (120 x 1.5 = 180).
Attempted hours are measured in adherence to the University’s Grading Policies and Academic Forgiveness Policy. If a student is granted academic forgiveness, they will be required to appeal if they do not meet satisfactory academic progress standards.
