Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Loan Programs

These loans are only available for certain Health Sciences Center majors: MD, DDS, PHARMD, and Nursing. Visit our DHHS Loans webpage for information on how to apply and additional requirements.

Health Professions Loan

These loans are available to students with financial need who are in the Dentistry (DDS) or Pharmacy (PHARMD) programs.

Loans for Disadvantaged Students

These loans are available to students with financial need who are in the Medicine (MD), Dentistry (DDS), or Pharmacy (PHARMD) programs.

Nursing Student Loans

Federal loan program approved under Public Law 100-607. Loans are restricted to students who 1) are citizens or nationals of the United States, 2) are enrolled or accepted for enrollment at least half time and 3) demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

WV Medical Student Loan Program

This loan is only available to medical students in the Health Sciences Center.
