Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA) Waiver

Application Process

Information on the HSTA program is available on the Health Sciences & Technology Academy website.

HSTA program graduates who are transferring from other in-state institutions to WVU must contact the WVU Hub and email HSTA's college liaison, Kas Kasten.

Eligibility

Students may be considered for this waiver if they meet all of the following criteria:

  • Have been admitted into a degree-seeking undergraduate program. HSTA can also be used for some graduate-level coursework at WVU.
  • Have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree.
  • Enrolled full-time in their degree program.

Information on eligibility can be found on the Health Sciences & Technology Academy website. Students cannot receive waivers for more than eight undergraduate semesters or completion of a bachelors degree, whichever comes first.

Additional Requirements

  • Students cannot receive the waiver for more than 8 semesters of full-time enrollment or after completion of a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree.
  • Financial aid for each aid year also cannot exceed a student's cost of attendance.
  • Students must meet satisfactory academic progress for financial aid eligibility.
